Creating a safe, inclusive environment is paramount, we do this by following policies and procedures that safeguard our learners and prevent radicalisation every single day.
With a dedicated internal safeguarding team, we are always doing our very best to maintain the high standards that we hold when it comes to safeguarding and prevent.
In simple terms, safeguarding is the action that organisations take to protect individuals from harm and neglect. Organisations, like ourselves, put policies and procedures in place to create an environment that keeps young people and adults at risk safe.
All our staff have the relevant background checks completed, go through a robust interview and reference checks. This prevents unsuitable candidates working with our learners. It doesn't stop there, we also carry out continuous training with all our staff, this supports them in their role and to recognise the sign of abuse and neglect.
Our learners will be supported in a safe environment, where they feel valued and listened to at all times. This is supported by out anti-bullying policy and our staff and learners fostering a positive relationship.
Our integrated curriculum include, Safeguarding, Learners Rights, Personal Safety, Healthy Relationship, Online Safety and how they can seek help if they feel unsafe. By doing this will enable learners to take action should they need to, now or the future.
We encourage learners, parents/guardians, employers, partners, staff to express their concerns. We have a easy raise a concern tool in place, where all concerns, issue can be raised confidentially. All sensitive information is secured, but we may share the information appropriately with the right people, to enable us to keep the person at risk safe.
We ensure that we keep our policies and procedures up to date, carry out risk assessment, train all staff and promote best practices.
Prevent is a strategy to stop individuals from being drawn into terrorism and radicalisation. Radicalisation is the process where someone is influenced to adopt extreme political, social, or religious views, which can lead to harmful actions.
